The Ski Podcast shortlisted for an Independent Podcast Award
The Ski Podcast has been shortlisted for a 2026 Independent Podcast Award in the Travel & Adventure category.
The shortlist was announced last week, with The Ski Podcast included alongside five other podcasts in a category covering travel, the outdoors and adventure.
The awards received more than 500 entries this year, making the shortlist recognition particularly pleasing.
Multiple Award Recognition
It follows our recent shortlisting as a finalist in the Best Broadcast Programme category in the Travel Media Awards, further underlining the regard The Ski Podcast is held in by its industry peers.
The Independent Podcast Awards celebrate podcasts from independent creators across the UK and Ireland.
The organisers describe the Travel & Adventure category as being for podcasts that “shine a light on travel, the outdoors and going on adventures” – a description that fits The Ski Podcast particularly well.
Over 320 episodes since 2017
As we go into our 10th winter, The Ski Podcast has grown to cover all aspects of the winter sports world, from the latest developments in ski resorts and equipment to ski travel, sustainability, interviews and the stories behind the people who make the sport what it is.
You can catch up with over 320 episodes of The Ski Podcast on our website. Just search around the tags and categories and you are bound to find something you’ll enjoy listening to.
“It’s great to see The Ski Podcast recognised alongside such a varied group of independent podcasts,” says host Iain Martin. “The podcast has always been about talking to interesting people and telling stories from across the world of skiing, while also looking at the bigger issues affecting the sport and the places we travel to ski.
“We’re hugely grateful to everyone who listens, shares episodes, recommends the podcast and takes the time to get in touch. Without that audience, none of this would be possible.”
Winners will be decided on 04 November
The winners of the 2026 Independent Podcast Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony at Kings Place in London on Wednesday 04 November.
The full Independent Podcast Awards shortlist can be found on the awards website.
